I compiled this to fill a request, but I figured maybe there were more people out there who would want a collection of only Final Fantasy battle music. I’ve tried to make this complete for the main series so far, 1-13, excluding X-2 and the XI expansions, including updated versions and new songs for remade games and the battle tracks from Mystic Quest as a bonus since they’re just too good to leave out.

The original versions of the FF 1 and 2 battle themes are from VX’s remixed and remastered All Sounds of Final Fantasy I & II, which I acquired on this forum. They sound much better than the official CD. They’re LAME encoded at VBR V0. (Sorry about the big volume difference between them and the FF3-6 tracks). FF3 was taken from a rip that’s floating around, so not my encode. FF13 isn’t either and it’s VBR V2. All the other tracks are LAME VBR V1 and the ones from 4-6 were converted from SPC because they sound better and clearer than on the soundtrack CDs. (go to SNESmusic.org (http://snesmusic.org/) for more info) I even edited together all the pieces of "Dancing Mad" into one. All the rest were converted from FLAC rips.

445.31 MB – 85 tracks – 4:42:38

If you notice I’m missing any battle themes, please let me know. I tried to make it complete, but I don’t know the games well enough to be sure of the context all the tracks play in. Notify me of any problems or if the link goes down.

(I threw in an extra edited "Dancing Mad" that is cut down to ten minutes and removes the funny voice sounds. Yes, it sounds like blasphemy, but I made it awhile ago to show a friend not into game music who would probably be immediately turned off by the synth voice. I figured why not throw it in here and maybe somebody else would have a use for it.)

i dont know why no one has posed a comment
but thanks about this collection, i already have all the FF soundtracks as 80% of the people on this forum, but putting together all the Battles Themes is awesome and all in 1 spot.
very nice, thanks
