FInal FAntasy 8 as a game

Hi guys, I played every single final fantasy except (how did you know) Final Fantasy 8. I was wondering some of your comments on this game and why is it worth buying.

Please no "ITS F(*#&^ AWESOME MAN" I know there are fans for every game but seriously think:

Was character development good (Final Fantasy 9 had good character development, you could use that a standard for this i suppose) ?

Was the plot complete? (Final Fantasy 7 was incomplete in a way and you can use that as a standard)

You know. General stuff. From my experience in these forums, my opinion is generally the same as the majority of the people so guys honestly tell me the GOOD AND the BAD of this game. BOTH.

Thoughts on what you think was good and bad about the game should go in the pinned thread entitled "What Makes FFVIII Stand / Fall." This is at least second topic that’s been started like this recently and closed. Make sure to check existing threads more carefully before starting a new toipc.
