Filming of serious/funny FFVII parody, good idea or don’t screw up a good thing?

My friends and I are making a filmed, real-life version of FFVII and have spent a lot of time on making everything excellent.

Do you think it’s a good idea, or do you think we are wasting our time because no one is gonna like it?

well, so far the casting has reached 80 people, not including the film crew, or any other aspects. So I think it’s comming out rather well so far with complete respect to what is quite possibly the best game ever.

I clicked on excellent idea, but that wasnt true as I thought it as an OK idea, but couldnt really put anything else ….. so if it makes you happy do whatever you want

I don’t know… If the game is shit, that can makes it rerally easy to make a parody. You have so much material. For example, when Aeris dies, you can have Cloud say, "Oh well. We still have her materia, and that is the entire extent of her character value."

Well you wouldn’t be ruining an already inexistent storyline. You wouldn’t be messing up the crappy costumes (exclusing Tifa’s). I can’t even say anything about those stale locations. In other words you really can’t mess it up unless you’re trying.

BTW-I’m not dissing the game.

The main thing im concerned about is how the hell are you going to recreate any of the magic or meteor or the weapons or the scenery or…..etc.

I would actually love to see a parody of FFVII if it’s done well. There’s a lot of things to make fun of in the game. How contrived Aeris’ death was (though it wasn’t lamentable either), Sephiroth’s mommy issues with an octopus-like creature, and Cloud’s schizophrenia.

Um…I have no idea what this one was about or why I clicked it…oh a movie? Well, I think it’s a cool idea, and you should go ahead and do it, it’s not likey ou’re hurting anything! I’m sure it’ll be great, have a blast. I mean, I’d totally watch it.
