FFXIII in 2007!

According to Gamespot, FFXIII is due release in the US in 2007!

Thoughts, anyone?

I reckon its either they rushed it, started way way way back (which they coulda used the time to make sure FFXII didn’t get delayed) or the game is suprisingly shorter than the rest of the Final Fantasies. I mean come on, its out the same year FFXII is in Aus 🙁

Today [Sept. 22, 2006] at the Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix showed off a bevy of trailers for their upcoming titles in their patented "Closed Mega Theater." Included among the cornucopia was an updated, expanded trailer for the eagerly anticipated RPG, Final Fantasy XIII. While concrete information, like a release date, is still up in the air, the trailer at least showed off a good amount of new eye candy for the audience.

Another Final Fantasy fanboy?

How is a trailer or two from such a redundant series the light in a dark world? What’s so awesome about FFXIII that it’s going to save the shithole of current gaming we are apparently living in right now?

I don’t think they’d deviate too much from the standard formula they’ve used for every other Final Fantasy game and make it a one person party. And even if the game sucks, most everybody who doesn’t know better and absolutely adore it because it’s Final Fantasy. Unless, of course, they tell you to hate it for some reason.

That might be true if by FFXV, the series stop making money. Which, haha, it won’t.

I wouldn’t say I hate any Final Fantasy games outside of Final Fantasy II (not IV, because that may be my favorite), but I just find Suikoden to be a much better game series and I always have to make sure everybody knows it.
