Um, there was already a sequel to FFXII released (not including FF Tactics/FF Tactics: The Lion War, FF Tactics Advance, FF Tactics A2, and Vagrant Story), in the form of FFXII: Revenant Wings on the DS.

This was essentially just another title in the Ivalice Alliance titles that never made off the ground. It looked interesting, but it’s unlikely it will be finished.
