FFX: NES edition

I was randomly searching aorund on the net and found this (http://www.siliconera.com/2005/10/20/final-fantasy-x-for-the-nes/)

I thought it was quite interesting and decided to share.

…has anyone actually tried to do anything with this? I can’t figure it out for the life of me, and I’ve been searching around the internet for more info, but to no avail. Oh well. 🙁

Yeah i have no idea how to get the patch working at all, but it looks pretty awesome.

Well i got the game working. A link to the game download is here (http://www.gamesdaily.tv/pubfiles/ffx_nes_jp.zip) but once the game loads i can’t enter the first town (you go through the caves and try and enter what looks like zanarkand but when you try it comes up with japanese jibberish and doesn’t let you in). People were talking about finishing the game but they’re probably lying cause you really can’t get in.

I just let it load for a while when you press spacebar on the save file. But it just won’t go into the town.

It`s not like it`s some official money spinning release. It`s a fan made remake. And instead of the usual it looks quite different just like "Grand Theftendo".

I would really think it would be strange to see all the cutscenes in 2d. Also it would be handier for people who emulate games so they wont have to buy the original

I think I seen a little thing on this in a game mag somewhere. Looks cool, but the japanese turns me off.

This would be very fun to play, as I do not have the mental capacity to beat the ps2 version, maybe I would have a chance with this version, I am better at 8-bit games, I couldn’t beat ff7 for ps1, but I beat it on nes, so it would be cool to play.

I say . . . just play one of the NES FF titles if that’s the case. Also, try and post in threads that aren’t that old. It’s just better for keeping traffic flowing to relevant discussions rather than ones that died out. But welcome to the Shrine 🙂
