Hi there ive completed this game like 20 times, Love it still. Never get bored of it but noiw im wondering is there any crack or hack? or cheat? that can enable u to move around the map on disc 1 instead of 2?
Like et balamb garden on Disc 1. or Ragnarok or summat? or maybe even just walk on water?
Im just curious as ive always done everything without cheating and now if there was a change of things i’d like to see it

I don’t really know for sure, but I sincerly doubt there are any cheats for the Playstation 1 version. Now if you have a PC version, that may be another story for mods and such, but don’t get your hopes up too high.

Yeah, I don’t think it’s possible to do any of that and it would likely be a gamebreaker. I’m not sure if the coding for any of the vehicles (other than rental cars) is included on Disc 1. And as far as just trying to visit anywhere before you’re supposed to in general, I’m sure it would just mess things up royally, if it didn’t simply cause a crash or freezeup outright.

I recall hearing talk of a cheat program, ironically called ‘Griever’, which worked for the PC version of FFVIII, just like the cheat program ‘Jenova’ worked for the PC version of FFVII. Albeit only as a Action Replay Max/Gameshark works for the PSX versions of those games, but tweaking with it could alter things… though only for the PC version I’m guessing.
I heard talk once of a debug menu for FFVIII somewhere in disc 1 (like the debug menu in FFVII near Tifa’s Seventh Heaven I think…), but I’m unsure if that’s accurate or not.

Yeah, both of the programs you mentioned are available here– http://www.qhimm.com/
I’ve used Griever before, however, I think it just lets you edit stats and items and stuff– it’s not going to let you navigate Balamb Garden or have access to the Ragnarok or anything like that before you’re supposed to.

True… Griever and Jenova are more or less the same programs.
Only way I can see you moving around the world with the Garden or whatnot would probably be only on the PC version via a Mod or a hack.
