I have XP and my version of FF7 works just fine (of course I had to use the video patch to get the video to display correctly).

If you have Bit Torrent there is a file called Ultimate FF7, it comes with everything you need to run ff7 on XP ( Cracks, no need for disc, graphics adapter to suit your card, and a comatablilty checker) its what i use to play FF7 on my computer ( however the PSX version is a little better)
