Anyone else find them ridiculously hard to perform?
The only one I can do is Pummel.

Hmm… maybe it’s because I’m not using a snes controller. I’m using an emulator and a Microsoft controller. The diagonal ones are too hard…

I’d imagine a microsoft controller (being as the d-pads are all one piece) would actually be helpful in pulling off a Bum Rush.

I think i know whats wrong. When i played it on an emulator it never worked(using a keyboard). When doing diagonals eg. Aura Cannon u have to do a down down-left left IIRC. This means that u press down then slide ur finger to the ‘left’ button without taking ur fingers off the button kwys. Thats how diagonals work…its not pressing two at once but by sliding ur fingers from on key to the next. I had this problem for years and years until i recently worked out how to do it.

Having trouble with diagonals on the keyboard? Use the NumPad and set the diagonals there.

So yea, the first playthrough ever I had to perform the Blitz in the battle against Vargas, I was kinda lost, but not because I didn’t know how to perform it, but rather cause I didn’t know what I should do, lol.

In the end, Blitz are easy to perform. I always had a bit more trouble with getting the right Sword Techniques from Cyan.

I just realised in the options I can set diagonals, but it’s still quite hard to perform them.
Not that it matters now, the save file got corrupted, so I’ve lost my game. Only 6 hours, but I don’t feel like re-doing them atm. Grrrr

Instead of down->down/left->left, down->down->left will give you the same result

In any case, I think the answer to the blitz problem is to go out, buy a SNES, buy an original US FFIII cartridge (and a Super Metroid cartridge for good measure) and play it in your living room. That’s the way it was meant to be played. I don’t know why, but I just HATE playing old games on emulators….feels so….fake.

Trying to do bum rush on a keyboard without diagonal keybinds was actually impossible.
