Has anyone else noticed that Zangarmarsh from WoW looks very much like Terra from FFIX?
and Hawstriders looks pretty familiar, no?

sorry if this is a repost

Zangarmarsh drives me nuts but I guess the only real similarity between it and Terra is that it has gigantic mushrooms. It also resembles a darker version of a Super Mario 3 level.

Lots of parts of WoW remind me of other places in other RPGs. For example the Nexus in Coldarra (Borean Tundra, Northrend) reminds me of the cloister of trials under Bevelle in FFX and Felwood sometimes reminds me of Feywood in FFXII. Then you have Winterspring which is all too reminiscent of the Icicle / Frozen Continent of FFVII.
