I hadn’t played the game myself but some of the fans feel that the dark knight Cecil is better than the Paladin despite eveidnce to the contrary. He gets better after you level him up but is Cecil that much better a s a Dark Knight than a paladin?

Depends on how you use him, I guess.
Paladin Cecil makes a good tank if I remember correctly while Dark Knight Cecil is handy with numbers of opponents once you’ve leveled him up.

Appearance-wise, I think Dark Knight Cecil looks cooler. He also seems to have better character as the knight. After he becomes a paladin, his character became kind of stale and plain.

Yeah, Dark Knight Cecil was definitely cooler in appearance.
Paladin Cecil is really good as a tank character though, as opposed to a damage dealer (which I used Dark Knight Cecil as).
– They served different roles, for me, which suited the progression in the storyline.

If I remember correctly, doesn’t one of Cecil’s abilities as a Dark Knight drain a bit of his hp if used?

At one time I wished you could switch between Paladin and Dark Knight, but at this time I would say it seems rather contradictory if you take the story into consideration. He undergoes a journey to abolish his dark nature and take up the path of light (because fighting evil as a Dark Knight is contradictory too I suppose ^^) but in Dissidia, nothing is canon anyhow, so I really didn’t mind.

i hated this event since i first did it.
i spent COUNTLESS HOURS grinding as a dark knight, only to have all that work served rectally into a black hole of fuckuum.

You know, I don’t think I ever leveled up much as a Dark Knight. I’ve always wondered what would happen if his DK level surpassed his starting Pally level. Myth: BUSTED. 😯

Cecil as a Dark Knight, imo, was more awesome.
I love the whole dark-touch to a character, and he had that before he became a paladin.
Once he became a paladin he became all soft.. blegh.

I think he was bad ass in snes.I personally didn’t mind it at all when he became a paladin, and in fact:I thought he looked cooler.
The ds version makes him look a bit too pink,it makes him look kinda gay.
