ok heres the problem

i put in the install CD(no scratches on it) it comes up with the screen with install, readme, install directX and Exit.

i click install, the squaresoft screen appears and a setup box apears sayin preparing to install, it goes to 100% than it and the squaresoft thing disappear, it "SHOULD" continue with the setup but it just stops

any idea how to fix this?

Have you tried turning on all the compatibility options?

Right click the .EXE >> Properties >> Compatibility tab

If that doesn’t work, you can find some ‘obscure’ patches on the internet. Some are hard to find. These is the only 3 I know: http://www.avault.com/pcrl/patches_temp.asp?patch=ff8

If that doesn’t work then you’ll have to come up with some unconventional solutions. Maybe installing Win95 again. That’s what I did to make it work.

Good luck.
