hmmm… to be honest, I don’t think you do have the real copy of FF8…

anyways, I don’t think torrents are exactly legal in some countries… I dunno, maybe they are, but they seem kinda illegal to me.

go google it. it shouldn’t be too hard.

Just d/l bitcomet 7.0 and then save if they ask when you d/l it click on the bitcomet icon. Check your ‘My Documents" folder if d/l it already. or do a full system search on your Pc for bitcomet.

P.s bittorrents are not illegal it’s only illegal to redistribute it.

isn’t that what bittorrents are? I mean, you’re "reditributing" when you’re a seeder, right?

I’m just saying… I really don’t care about whether it’s legal or illegal or if you do it or not… I’ve always wondered about this kind of stuff.

I bought the PC version of the game from my friend. It’s the complete set with the booklet and even and necklace that my friend threw in. <3. Pity I lost the first disc… v-v Which is why I downloaded the first disc…which then screws up at a CG and I can’t get past it.>:O

Pout.

I just recently bought the game for my PS2. Give ebay a try! As for the PC edition I have no clue where to buy/download it from.

No because with the PC version you can share save files, and if you know how to you can add, mods and d/l PC cheating programs.

There’s a whole school of debate as to which version is better. I do enjoy some of the advantages of the PC version, such as what Lionheart Reborn mentioned and being able to play Chocobo World. Graphically, I think it’s also somewhat better. Soundwise and controls, I’d say the Playstation version wins.

I lost my 4th and 1st CD a while back. Never actually had the chance to beat it. And by golly I looked on Ebay yesterday and there was a newly sealed FF8. It had 5 mins left on it and I only had to pay 17 USD to outbid the highest bidder. The seller already has promised me he would send it to me in its orginal package. So try Ebay! ^^

None. You can download it at any time by visiting http://www.ffshrine.org/ff8/ff8_demo.php and following the link from there, once you are registered, which you are.

The PC edition of Final Fantasy VIII is pretty rare. You’d be hard pressed to find it under USD$80. (and in good condition)

I tend to prefer the PC releases, though. There’s always the option of downloading patches to fix bugs, and it’s a lot easier to hack the game’s resources if you’re into that.

I just downloaded it as a torrent and it came with everything I needed and the game works perfect.

The only complaints I have is that you can’t boost up your GFs as well as the PS version and the music sounds alot more like 8-bit music compared to the original. Otherwise, I like it just as much as I do the PS version.
