FF7 remake!

It’s not a remake, and Square Enix have confirmed they are NOT going to be rereleasing Final Fantasy VII for the PS3. It’s impressive none-the-less.

Yes, Square Enix can ignore it, they have so far with all the other FFVII propaganda going on and they will continue to.

Square Enix has stated they will not remake Final Fantasy VII until it can no longer be played on current consoles – since the PlayStation 3 has confirmed backwards compatibility with the PlayStation 1 and 2, it will be a while until we see the remake.

We’re more likely to see remakes of Final Fantasy IV, V and VI on handhelds this generation, and VII, VIII and IX on the next generation of handhelds.

I read in a sony mag a few years back that it is possible to create a sephiroth clone in FF7.I did everything I had to do and I still couldn’t get him!Was this only available on the Japanese version?was there ever a limited edition which may have included Extras?

This is the wrong place to post this – please put the question in the right forum in the future. We have a Final Fantasy VII sub-forum – the reason i’m leaving this here for now is this tech demo isn’t really a Final Fantasy VII game.

The game itself has not changed since release, although I believe there was a re-released version of the game in America which had a 4th disk, but it was merely a bestiary – there was no change to the actual game.

"Gaming" is a subcategory of "Final Fantasy Shrine."

"General Gaming" is a specific forum within "Gaming."

"FF7 remake!" is the thread you’ve made. So basically, just go back to the overall index (the Final Fantasy Shrine link) and look through the forums until you find the one most appropriate. In this case, your thread is about FF7, so it would go in the FF7 forum. Advent Children is the same.

I believe there is already an Advent Children thread in the FF7 forum, though, so you can already discuss it there. And I’m actually just going to move this thread right over to FF7 for your convenience.

I can tell you right here, Advent Children won’t be released in movie theaters, it’s a DVD-only thing. I wouldn’t have a clue about the release date, though.

While I’m not creaming in my pants about the FF7 Tech Demo itself… the fact that it was rendered real time (along with vision Gran Turismo)… hot stuff… very hot stuff…

Thanx Lexie, I’ve managed to navigate my way around the threads now and have found what I wanted to know. I’m a bit disappointed FF7, A.C. wont be at the cinemas but I will definately get hold of the DVD as soon as I can.

Getting back on track, I would love to see a FF7 remake, but I don’t think that’ll happen for a long time, if ever. I’ve been hearing alot about these ‘spin-offs’ of FF7, and I don’t care how sh!t they are or what console, Phone or Program they run on, I will get them all! Even if I have to learn Japanese! LOL. hopefully not, I might be uninterested in FF’s by then(Very Doubtful).
