I just borrowed FF6, and I am playing it on PS1. The game runs perfectly fine until the battle screen comes up, which causes the game to start skipping and running very slow. When the battle finally ends, everything goes back to normal. Is my game defective or can this be fixed? Thanks for any help!

i know you said u were playing on a ps1 but i still have to ask are you using an emulator because thats a commen problem when using a the real disc on an emulator if you arnt then maybe its just scratches.

I don’t know about the bug, probably defective disc, but you should just emulate the snes version. Much easier.

It just does that on the psone. It’s not a glitch, it has to access the disk to do various things like cast spells and summons.
