Some times when i put my FF8 on a PS2 it dosnt get past the Sony Intro, so i just restart it straight away and it works fine. Also in other pasts of the game it lags a little. Dont say its because my CDs are damages because i take very good care of them. Though i gues this isnt any help to you. good luck on solving the problem though

Final Fantasy VII works perfectly with my original Playstation Two, So I think that the problem actually might be because you modded it, or the other thing will definatly what has happened to Slav and that the game is scratched..

Mine works just fine 😀 I just tested it 😀 maybe it’s your CD.

Yup! Maybe it’s your CD, cus I’m alredy in FF7 Disc 2, and on my PS2.

It’s just gotta be either your CD’s or that you Modded it.

Answering this guy is probably pointless. He hasn’t been online since he posted.

if he comes online agen it might be an idea to copy his cds and use his mod chip for them. its not piracy cause hes not redistributing them and he might be able to play the great ff7!!!

Just to let anyone know, the ps2 lasers are weak, they can sometimes stop playing cd’s and play dvds fine. Mine however works fine as i look after my stuff.
My final fantay 7 disks only have scratches on because I bought it second hand.

You need a PS1 memory card to play any games that were originally for the PS1 on the PS2. You can normally buy a used one for about 3 bucks at a local gaming shop.
