favorite battle setup

I hope nobody has already posted before, but I am curious as to what your ideal setup is..ex. trainer-white mage-warrior.

mine:
(1)warrior.
(2)alchemist(w/treasure hunt GG[mug ablility]).
(3)dark knight OR Beserker

Mine — Triple Lady Luck or Triple Mascot.

Or Rikku – Alchemist, Paine – Dark Knight, Yuna – Mascot, if you’re looking for something a bit more balanced.

Mine would be:
Yuna – Gunner
Rikku – Theif or Alchemist
Paine – Dark Knight

Yuna->Gunner
Paine->Samurai
Rikku->Dark Knight

or:

Yuna-> Lady Luck
Paine->Dark Knight
Rikku->Alchemist

Or:

Yuna-> Gun Mage
Rikku-> Berserker
Paine->Warrior

and Finally: Triple Dark Knight

I try not to use the dark knight DS, i think the abilities are useless (except the proofs and black sky), and darkness is just an easy way out, great if your in a jam, which is the only time i will use it, but too easy otherwise. I much prefer the samauri DS

for me its not just the dress spheres, it the garment grids as well, eg:
Yuna Samauris Honor, Mascot, Lady Luck or Gunner
Rikku Chaos Malestrom, Mascot, Alchemist or Samauri
Paine Pride of the Sword, Mascot, Dark Knight or Beserker

Yuna-Berserker
Rikku-Samurai
Paine-Alchemist

But I prefer Yuna as the Dark Knight. I find Berserker stupid. The whole stance at the end of battle makes me want to shoot the screen.

that depends if your training for ap or exp

exp, sure, go berserk, ap, use as many skills as possible, even spare change for samauri with 1 gil, to get as much ap as possible, its another reason why i dont like using darkness with the d/k DS, kills too quickly for the others to get tons of ap instead of the shitty 1 or 2 ap from just killing the fiend

typically, you get 1 ap for killing a fiend, two if its oversouled
bosses can give you much more than 1 ap

you also get 1 ap each time you successfully use a skill other than attack and flee

you can triple this if you have an ap egg equiped, but unfortunately, the effects arent cumulative so equipping two ap eggs is pointless.

The max ap you can earn in a battle is 99 for each character
