Fat Chocobo Won’t Give Healing Beaches Quest

I’m stumped on the chocobo side quest. I’ve found all the chocographs, I’ve dug up all the bubbles and mountain cracks, but the fat chocobo doesn’t give me the healing beaches portion of the quest.

Yes, I’ve played cards with him. He just keeps saying the same things he’s been saying all along.

Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

If I remember correctly, first you need to visit all the beaches in the world and press a button, you will hear a chime. After you do that you will get healing!

I tried that. There is no chime. 🙁

I think that sidequest only opens up on disc 4. I didn’t get it at first in my latest playthrough either but went back towards the end and could do it then.

I’m on disc 4. All that’s left is side quests and memoria.

Hmm, I assume you already got the treasure under the Shimmering Island then and opened up Mognet Central? I don’t know if you need to open up Mognet to get the beach quest, but it might as it’s still a mountain crack.

Did you already get given the Fat Chocobo card for collecting all the treasures as well?

Sorry if I’m going over obvious stuff here that you’ve done, just throwing things out there.

I dived where the shimmering island was and got ultima weapon. I also completed the mognet central quest.

I have not received the fat chocobo card.
