I have no idea how it escaped my attention for so long, but there’s a group out there that is actually fansubbing the original Captain Harlock series. The video is being taken from the Special Edition DVDs released in Japan a little while back, so the quality is really nice. On top of that, they’ve actually remastered the sound themselves and done a damn fine job of it, from what I can tell on my rather limited audio equipment.

They’re also working on other Matsumoto works like Galaxy Express 999 and Captain Harlock: Arcadia of My Youth: Endless Road SSX. None of them are complete yet, but they seem to be keeping up a pretty reasonable release schedule.

Well, as long as I can remember Dragon Ball has been my favourite Anime and Manga. Sure to some it may seem childish, and it kinda is, but the whole concept of suped-up fighters. A concept I’ve imagined so long before I’ve even encountered DB, which totally blew all my perspectives on that matter. It remains to this day THE Anime for me.

I’ve always prefered vintage Anime/Manga than the new ones. Unfortunately, the really old ones are quite rare to find (example: Dash! Kappei, Urusei Yatsura, Lupin III). Fortunately, myself and a friend of mine have dedicated our spare time in finding such rare titles.
