Escaflowne: Unlimited Edition movie

I just recently shelled out an obscene amount of money for this movie. I have to say…It’s entirely worth it! The movie itself is a masterpiece, and is amazingly well done (didnt listen to the English, so I cant tell you how the dubbing is). Additionally, the Ultimate Edition comes with the soundtrack for the movie, which is top notch music (for those who like the sound of Japanese singing, although the theme song has an English translation as well). All in all, this was quite worth the inordinate amount of cash I handed over. What say you all?

I thought the movie was really PRETTY. But, in terms of a movie itself, it doesn’t do the series justice. Not by a long shot. I mean, the series is absolutely INCREDIBLE. The movie is……. eh…….. It’s at best, decent, for a 2 hour jaunt through the world of Escaflowne. But in terms of art and music, it’s quite breathtaking. And yeah my g/f and friend both got the special editions. And I havent heard any regrets from them. I bought the regular edition. Namely to have for AMV source.

I haven’t seen the movie yet (and I probably wont cause it doesnt sell here where I live) but I’ve seen the anime and it rocks.If the movie is at least half as good I’ll definetly buy it.
