Hey everyone,

I wrote a piece for 80 piece orchestra. I’m VERY influenced by videogames, film, etc.

It’s called ‘Airies’, and I would love to hear what you all think. Watch the trailer too on my home page!

To stream go to:

http://www.waltribeiro.net/usermedia/BZ/users/jeremytest/media/mp3/2-Airiesmid-mix.mp3

If you want to Download it for FREE go to www.waltribeiro.net/stream and right click, then ‘save link as’ on ‘Airies – DEMO!

Let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Very nice!

BTW what software did you use to record it with it?

Real good melodies and a sound that would work well for older game scores. A lot of segments with winds turned me off a little bit as they sounded too mechanic. Listening to your other pieces I have to say you really have it, just the production quality of the pieces isn’t doing you the justice you deserve.

I’m a composer myself by the way.

Thanks for the insight and feedback. Yeah that trumpet section was kind of a pain b/c the notes kept rubbing up against the violins and it took forever to fix.

It’s difficult writing this kind of music.. so as I improve I’ll post more stuff up here!

Wow, impressive. When all the strings are playing, I think their notes in the moving lines need to be played slightly shorter becasue they sound a bit too connected. I’m unsure, really (maybe it’s from the music being synthesized instead of being live). Good job on that flute/clarinet/oboe/bassoon section, that was really nice.

Gmrtech, sounds like something used for a scene in a game like Oblivion. Great effort put into it.

What prog are you using for your creation process?

Awesome, though the ending isn’t quite as good as one would expect compared to the rest of the piece.

Very impressive Alvarin. Kind of rude to hijack the thread though.

Very nicely done! The strings and drums melody work very nicely together. The acoustic sound of the trumpets is a little too dominant, toned down it would much easy to listen to. But it’s a great, catchy melody, I like it. It actually reminded me a bit of the score to the remake of "Rygar, the legendary adventurer" : a ps2 game which had a fully orchestrated soundtrack 😉

Awesome score gmrtech! I compose music myself, and want to be a video game music composer in the future.
