Elvis’ death and subsequent media feeding frenzy had few bright spots but John Carpenter’s Elvis movie was one of them. Ronnie McDowell did a very credible job on the soundtrack and his other Elvis efforts (including ‘The King is Gone’) were actually quite listenable. He contributed the vocals for several other Elvis projects, including ‘Elvis and the Beauty Queen", "Elvis Meets Nixon" and the outstanding mini-series produced by Priscilla Presley in the 90’s called, simply, "Elvis". It starred Michael St. Gerard (in case you go looking for it). Why that hasn’t been officially released continues to be perplexing. But, thanks for posting this!
