Youssou N’Dour Egypt

A FLAC share of an ‘ethnic folk’ album entitled ‘Egypt’. It is tricky to classify this album as it is a fusion of traditional elements from West and North Africa.

For everyone who enjoys ethnic/middle Eastern, Arabic music, this album is lovely. It takes me back to my travels in the middle East and offers unique African/arabic flavours with each ‘folk’ song. The acoustic arrangements with traditional strings and precession are a joy, and the songs are beautifully crafted. I hope you will enjoy this album as much as me. Youssou N’Dour’s voice is hypnotic too and every track has something special for me.

If you like the ethnic flavours from Hanson Zimmer, John Powell, Michael Danna etc. Then give this a try, I think you will like it.

Please let me know if you enjoy it.

Hit like, add rep or leave a comment if you download. Appreciation is always nice 🙂

Sorry no image. The forum won’t allow me to upload bigger than 4kb! I do think know what’s going on There?

But he is not middle-eastern – Senegal is in western Africa.

I have absolutely no idea what this is, or what it’s from, but from your description interests myself.

Thank you!

These aren’t the sort of melodies I was expecting, but it’s still not bad, nevertheless, thank you again!

Yes, I know this. I was referring to the sound of this album. I have been to West Africa, Gambia and Senegal. The traditional music from that region is very different to this album. The albums title is called Egypt and features traditional instruments and folk arrangements from North Africa and middle East. I hope you like it.

No, it’s not a score, but actually quite cinematic in places. These are a collection of folk songs.

Thanks for the share, but I couldn’t get past the one song. It’s an awful album in my humble opinion.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course, OK, not to your taste, but awful it is not. And if you couldn’t get past the one song how can you judge the Album? I feel this share will very much divide opinion. I think especially with the current anti Islam climate.
