I have a bit of a problem. I am 11 and a half hours into FF9. I made 2 saves of the game as I always to "just in case". When I went to play it today, BOTH of my saves are corrupted! Is there any possible way to get these saves back? This really sux.

Also, sometimes when playing FF9, when it switches to a movie, the movie locks up about 10 seconds into it! The only way for me to continue on from that point is to open the CD lid, then close it again and the game will pick up after the movie. Has anyone else had this problem with this game? Im playing it on a PSOne.

make sure lids closed, make sure inside of PS is clean, make sure Mcard is in properly, try a diff Mcard, try a diff PS, try diff disc, etc. theres not much to do except trial and error. just hope it isnt ur PS.

Try a different memory card. Check for scratches on your cd…if there are some, use Scratch Remover (1 bottle for $7.95)…this really helps.

Thanks for all the fast replies guys 🙂 I was just hoping that there was some magic that will let me somehow retrieve my corrupted saves. I just read an article about how Interact Mem Cards (the kind I have) are known for having problems. Although it is a really cool game, I just dont want to have to repeate those 11.5 hours. Ah well.

Yesterday i went to load my saved game on ff9 an’ it said sumthin’ like "unable to retrieve file". so i turned off the game an’ moved the memory card from the first slot to the second slot (i have NO clue what inclined me to do this) an’ turned the game back on an it loaded my game perfectly. i thought it wuz kinda strange.

I tried that too but unfortunately that did not work for me 🙁
