YOU’RE FIRED

Dragonball Z and GT suck, the only good series was Dragonball due to it’s Ranma-esque comedy. As an otaku, Dragonball Z and GT are shameful to all anim. Amen.

***SPOILERS***

Dragonball Z was ok around when it first began. I mean sure the storyline about Goku finding out he was from outer space was ok. I believe much of the anime itself during the Saiyan – Namek saga was alright. The Freiza saga was absolutely stupid. Why does it take what happened in a mere (roughly) few hours takes weeks? And when the Namek planet was to blow up in 3 seconds that took about half an hour too  (Pfft! Trunks had the right idea when he just sliced him up in half a second  )

Then there’s the similarites between the all powerful villains. Cell can absorb, so can Majin Buu, not to mention Baby? Or something like that, well that thing that was controlling everyone in GT.

To be honest I watched DBZ religiously during my school days, then when it got stupid I reduced myself to watching it whenever I could catch it on. Just to see if it got better, but noooo. It got much worse >_<
DBGT I only watch if there’s nothing else on. How sad.

I totally agree with Mercutio though it does bring shame to other anime. From what I can remember from DB I know it was great in it’s time (I was pretty young then, and may not remember as much).

Nah, dont say it brought shame to "other anime"… Nothing can bring shame to Yu-Gi-Oh… (just my opinion, dont kill me, thanks.)

What Riana mentioned was DBZs one big flaw. Everything gets stretched out like hell. If you compare the original manga and the anime, you notice that now there are more enemies… filler episodes… more filler episodes… episodes where all the characters do is screaming at each other… I stopped watching DBZ soon because I grew bored of it. Especially if you already know what will happen thanks to the manga…

Well, it would be wrong to say the show was all bad. There were some awesome scenes, and you started to like the characters. It was a good fighting soap opera; repitive, yes, but still likeable.
Ehm… however, the original Dragonball (Dragonball and DBZ) was long enough already… I dont think the creation of DBGT was necessary…

The way Dragon Ball Z should have been done. And finished.
