After listening to it: The score seems to be taken directely from the 16mm monaural optical sprocket track of the Atlas release.
That’s why it sounds rather suboptimal for a 1964 recording.

The Main Theme however, which reappears several times as a "Leitmotiv", is just great and ressembles in its style and orchestration the kind of music of Kurt Weill or Hanns Eisler for Brecht’s THREEPENNY OPERA and other period theatre music of Berlin’s 1920s.
