Now, my second rip, the Game Boy version of Double Dragon! MP3, Variable Bit Rate. 12 tracks (well, 11 plus pause jingle), placed in chronological order from the game, 2 loops, 3-second fade out at the start of the 3rd loop. One exception to this is "Arrival of the Black Warriors." The GBS rip I used didn’t allow this, but it worked out well anyway. I used a mix of track titles from "Original Sound of Double Dragon", and the NES version soundtrack. It was interesting giving titles to some tracks. For example, the "The Journey Continues (Intermission)" track from "Original Sound…" was used as a Mission 4 theme! At any rate, enjoy! Please share any thoughts or commentary. 🙂

Fade out is too short, 10 seconds would be enough.

Thank you for the suggestion, I appreciate it! 🙂 I’ll do future rips, and edit my current ones with 10-second fades. I’ve seen varying fade out lengths in rips, and wasn’t sure about the best length to go with. I’m not sure where I arrived at doing 3 seconds. Perhaps it’s because of the fast fade-outs on Final Fantasy soundtracks I’ve bought on iTunes. :/

Thanks a lot!

Thanks !!

My pleasure, guys! :3 I’ve wanted to work on game rips and post them here for a long time, but better late than never! There are so many games out there with no rips available (except NSF, SPC, etc. rips), and I hope I can cover some of them. 🙂

I also did similar rips (converting to mp3) but then I decided to make NSFE from NSF. Then I talked with some people involved in this work and now our forces are combined here – Nsfe Collection – Minibosses Message Board – The Shizz (http://theshizz.org/forum/index.php/topic/24425-nsfe-collection/) – Take attention to the first post and the last several pages where we discussed the way of track naming. And now there will not be a situation when 2 men did the same work and the time of one was wasted for nothing.
Sometimes I still do"rips" from GBS, SPC etc. but if only the music is so good that it should be shared immediately =)
