Donkey kong country tropical freeze

Kind of a little early but since the japanbese version is out, maybe one can line in rip it?

I don’t have a full rip, but I did post a link to the website tracks in another request thread if you are interested until someone rips the entire thing:

They have the website tracks on Nintendo 3DS Community right now, at any rate. Great stuff. Love track 3 and 5 the most.

I’m pretty sure there will be a soundtrack for this considering one was available as a Club Nintendo award in Japan for Returns, and it didn’t actually have nearly as impressive a soundtrack all things considered.

While I heard familiar Donkey Kong Country melodies weaving in and out of the score, every theme is new and originally composed for Tropical Freeze. The music ranges from Lion King-inspired choral songs over the savannah to Teutonic horns integrated into the Germanic Autumn Heights area." 😉

I really hope someone can manage to do it, DK Music is really a shame to miss out on… LOL 🙂

Agreed. I was really impressed on david wise’s score. the boss themes are epic. really metal.

The question is whether someone can successfully rip from a Wii U disc.

We cant, WiiU discs are not dumpable. You can only line in rip from the game, luckily the game also has a music player with unlockable tracks.

You can also turn down the SFX to record music from the in-game levels.

You know, I didn’t get the chance to thank you for that link in the other thread so I’ll do it here instead: Thanks! Personally, my favorite track was the Aquatic Ambiance arrangement, but the rest were great as well, rest assured. 😉

But yeah, needless to say, I’m highly looking forward to any good-quality rips that come along. I honestly this may be one of Wise’s best DK soundtracks period (possibly even rivaling DKC2)! 🙂

Good news is the game seems to have a Sound Test like the other DKC games. Can’t wait!

Forgive my lack of knowledge, but what does dumpable mean, exactly? Does it mean that elements of the game cannot be extracted by themselves (i.e., you can’t just rip the music on its own)?

Exactly. The only way we’d be able to get the music into a playable format would be to do a line-in rip. (Just in case you don’t know what this means, someone would use a male-to-male cable or a capture card to make a recording of the music) I’m glad Retro included that Sound Test and the SFX volume options so we’d be able to have (practically) the entire soundtrack without SFX. David Wise knows how to make some damn good music. I also really want a recording of the first boss battle though.
