Maybe to make it sound more unique and not so plain. I dunno, but in one of my friend’s old magazines before the game was released, they even said how to pronounce ‘SeeD’ as the word ‘seed’. Kinda like how to say Titus right.

I always say "Choe-koboe", and that’s the way it’ll stay. If you have any doubt, just play FFX / FFX-2, they say it often enough there.

As for SeeD…I always say seed, though I don’t think this is worth writing home about.

I used to pronuonce it "chock-OH-BOH" until I heard the way other people were pronounce it, now I go along with the "CHO-kuh-bo."

And the SeeD thing I just say seed, no one cares about how you say that, lol.

Okay, two things:

– We know how "chocobo" is pronounced (it is indeed CHO-kuh-bo) because they say it Final Fantasy X.

– We know how SeeD is pronounced too, for sure. In Final Fantasy VIII, if you tell the guard that’s torturing Squall that you’ll tell him SeeD’s plan, Squall makes a fakey storey about the purpose of Garden and SeeD being to "spread seeds" to make flowers and steal people’s desire for war. Then they swoop in and attack.

I’d say the D is in caps because "Seed" looks silly. SeeD looks better, somehow.

Agreed, definitely. If you’re going to call your organization something sorta lamish-sounding like "Seed" it definitely lends a certain coolness / interest to it if you put the ‘d’ in the end as a capital.

SeeD could also be Cid’s idea to throw people off with them thinking its an archanam-Sp?- like B.L.T. stands for Bacon lettuce tomato some people would spend years trying to figure it out and come up naught. I think it would be something Cid would get sick pleasure from. I know I would. =)

Well i think that an old Backstreet Boys C.D is far more intimidating then a handful of Tomato seeds.
