Dimebag Darrell, formerly of the legendary metal band Pantera, was shot dead during a Damageplan gig, along with 3 fans.

My heart goes out to Vinnie, Terry and all others affected by his death.

Im still trying to grasp what the fuck just happend. Dime was a guitar hero of mine, one of those guitar players i could listen to and get inspired to write music, or learn songs etc. etc.. I hate ppl that think they have the right to take someone elses life, they should die. plain and simple. they should die. F*ck the 2nd Amendement!

Yeah. I learned Cemetary Gates and played it in his honour on the day I found out.

There was just so much respect for him in the metal community, it’s a great loss.

www.damageplan.com has a memorial page for Dime and Mayhem.
