Read the last part of the topic title very carefully. I do NOT care about the background music used in the original Japanese version of the anime. I want the background music composed by Thorsten Laewe, used in the dub of the show. Generally all of the BGM is some variant on the main theme "Never Surrender" used in the opening sequence:

I imagine this is extremely difficult–if not impossible–to find, but if anyone DOES have it, I would be immeasurably grateful.

Hmm, guess it isn’t out on CD. I just asked Jeff Nimoy, the director of the season’s dubbing, and he told me that it would be completely up to Disney.

I emailed Thornsten Laewe/his secretary and I got a reply saying that while Disney hasn’t released a soundtrack, Thor will be making a Facebook group soon. I’m under the assumption that we might be able to access the music there.

They probably just mean that people’s automatic response to background music from digimon is to refer them to the Japanese soundtracks. People looking for dub music usually have to emphasize it.

At the moment, I’m trying to track down all of the English Digimon Adventure and 02 soundtracks. We’re luckier because Udi Harpaz posted six tracks on his website. I’ve never attempted to look for Thorsten Laewe’s site because I’ve only just begun to watch the Data Squad dub myself. It is very frustrating trying to track these people down but if Joel Douek could post tracks from Yu-Gi-Oh! on his site, Shuki Levy can because Shuki himself still holds the rights to the 01/02 ST. Disney unfortunately are much tougher to crack. But don’t giv up hope. We need something like a mass petition for the English soundtracks to be released.

Thanks everyone for the help and responses! I’m confident we can do this. I already have the courage theme from Data Squad playing in my head at the moment. 😛

I checked Facebook, but i don’t know which group name Thor used, if you can PM me a link to the Facebook group, i’d be happy….
But i doubt we’ll be able to access the music there.

I don’t think the group exists. That was five years ago, so.
