did i beat ozma..? or not..?

how do you know if you beat ozma or not…

i havent played for a while and i checked recently and i had 2 pumice pieces, and my gold chocobo wouldnt fly…

If I’m not mistaken, gold chocobos only start flying in forests. Are you sure you’re doing it right?

Also, what you get from Ozma is a Pumice, not a Pumice Piece. The best way to check is to go to where you can fight Ozma and see if he’s still there, but you kind of need a flying chocobo to do so.

yes i know that gold chocobos can only "lift off" from forests, all it says is "i think ill walk on foot for a while"

and you DO get pumice pieces, (you synthesize 2 pumice pieces for ONE pumice from hades)…

There are two ways to get Pumice; one is to synthesize the pumice pieces, and the other is to beat Ozma. But I remember very specifically that it is a Pumice, not a Pumice Piece, that you receive from defeating Ozma. Incidentally, the pumice pieces are VERY helpful in defeating Ozma, because equipping them enables you to absorb his Darskide attack.

then i wonder why all the guides ive seen, including the official one says that it drops a pumice piece…

If you beat Ozma you will have a key item.

Also i’m fairly sure you get a pumice piece from ozma, and then you can finally synth two together at Hades.

my memory is a little rusty on the subject though.

You get a Pumice Piece from Ozma. You get Pumice from synthing two Pumice Pieces at Hades.

However, besides the piece you get from Ozma, there are TWO other Pumice Pieces in the game, thus making there be THREE altogether. I got Ark without beating Ozma. The other two pieces you get are one from beating Ark as a boss, and the other a Chocobo digs up with a Dead Pepper (or a Chocograph, I forget.)

If you’ve beaten Ozma then I guess I believe you and the FAQ I read was wrong.

It seems more reasonable anyway, I always wondered why it would give you something that’s half of something valuable when you can already get those two halves elsewhere.

I’m talking about a a faq I read on Gamefaqs.

But yes, I was one of the victims of that shite strategy guide, but I just got it recently on ebay so it was a tad cheaper. But either way, looking on the bright side its the ONLY printed strategy guide so its not like I could have found something better.

i memeber i bought the strategy guide, i bought it at sume drift store/swapmeet (i dnt remember?) it was way cheaper i think i bought on sale hahahaha! it only cost me 25 cents hahaha! or was it 50 cents???

I got a pumice and dark matter from beating ozma. two great accessory equips 😀

You definetlly get pumice from Ozma i remember because i have beaten him(again) recently
