Detective Rin Mission

For the Detective Rin Mission in Chapter 4 i am trying to prove that Rin is the culprit.
I am having a problem where in chapter 4 using the commsphere no. 5 i am supposed to see the screen go black but all i keep seeing is a chocobo feather.
Also using the commsphere no. 4 I am supposed to see Rin doing something to the Hover in the distance but i only see the people talking.
I dont know which of these i am supposed 2 see first and how to even get them activated.

Pinning Rin as the culprit for that is extremely difficult. If you blow even one thing, it’s over. If you’re not getting the right stuff, it’s possible that you messed something up earlier on. I recommend using the Rin’s Mi’ihen Mystery Guide at GameFAQs — it’s really good and comprehensive and helped me to get this. But if you messed it up, you might be screwed until New Game Plus.

It’s possible. If you check that guide and you’re still not able to get it to work, then I’d say it’s a near cert that you probably missed something somewhere. Sorry.
