how do i get out of it ???? i’ve finished the game but it was a long time ago ….. i can’t remember what i did exactly ….. can anyone help ????

Walk around for a bit, talk and then head up I believe into that wide field they don’t want to go to. Have a sequence, boss fight and such related events, then eventually something gets arranged to get you up and win the chocobo racing contest and your out ^_^
hope that’s clear enough.

And make sure that Barret is ready for the boss fight because it’s one on one with Barret only.

Once you head out, make sure you take the right path on the second screen (I think.) You’ll see a guy standing there and if you enter a sort of junkyard area, you’ll know you’re heading in the right direction. Just make sure you don’t get lost in the desert, unless you want to fight those big tubeworm creatures and get some Turbo Ethers or something. And at the chocobo racing just keep that chocobo on Manual and race well and it should do okay. As long as you don’t have it on Auto (stupid) mode, you should be fine.

Oh and when you are racing, hold the 4 Trigger buttons (L1-R1-L2-R2 assuming you are on a PSX) to charge up your Chocobo’s stamina.

For the chocobos, just hold R1 and R2 and your stamina will increase (you don’t need the L buttons)

Oh, did you get the Ramuh Summon Materia?

It aint that hard to miss so I asume yes.

stick a long range materia on barret amd get him in the back row……restore and a few basic spells may also help….

give him a hyper item before battle too….get his limit up faster…

he wont get hurt in teh back row at all
