I was looking for new video game / mobile game soundtracks and I found one by the legendary Shimomura Yoko for a mobile game called "Vanishment Day", and it sounded so heavenly!! So being a sucker that I am for good music, I went and looked for the game on the app store (US, Canada, and Japan), just to see that it was no long in service. It was such a disappointing experience!!

Have any of you find a soundtrack you loved, just to find out the video game associated with that soundtrack is no longer in production or discontinued? – And there is no way you would get to play it, ever.

Hmm, not exactly, but I’ve definitely had a hard time finding music for games that are out of print! Azurik: Rise of Perathia had a great soundtrack and could never find it until here!

I’ve certainly had games that I can no longer play because they aren’t compatible with modern operating systems. Uru: Ages Beyond Myst is one I simply can’t get to work so I’m excited they’re re-releasing that and the rest of the series!
