can anyone get the ff7 pc demo to work?? does it need any patches or stuff? would any of you buy ff7 if it came out on PS2 or maybe PS3? of couse you would!!! and any one who hasn’t played the original ff7 may buy it as well (coz they liked ffx etc.) so why doesnt square make … a remake, they’d make lotsa moola which is what they’re really after

This fits the FF7 more since you only cover FF7. Please post things in their correct forum, thanks 🙂

They wouldn’t get much money out of a remake of FF7… seeing as though a large of the fan base would probably not really like it and the fact that producing one will get in a way of another FF project (not EVERYONE likes FF7… it’s just that a lot do). So with the money spent on the remake that most likely would not get as much as a brand new FF… may not happen any time soon unless someone else decides to take it into their hands and do a remake for Square.

But anyways, if you have Windows XP, the demo most likely will not work correctly. Eidos should have more info on it since they published the game in the US.

from a marketing standpoint, I would think a remake would be just as potentially profitable as a sequel, if not more so.

ja.

I know I’d buy it.

So far Square Enix has only done remakes of titles that weren’t playable on their current console system, the PS2.
Final Fantasy VII can be played on the PS2, so everyone who wants to play that game needs no remake, they can just buy the game.
Maybe in two consoles…
