I’m sorry to have started this account. I did so by mistake. I was looking for download links, found them on something that didn’t require setting up an account for a site, and now I’m trying to find out how to delete this one. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience, but I do not wish to keep this account. Is there something that I can use to de-activate this account? Do you need the password for this account? If so, you are more than welcome to have it.

Hi,
I would like to know how do I go about deleting my account from this site?
Thank you.
You can’t delete your account and the admins won’t either.
Try logging off please, thanks.
uh.. why won’t the admins delete/ban accounts if the person themselves request it…?
Because if you don’t want to be a part of this site, you can just log off and forget about it

we rarely (never) do such a thing in my knowledge. in either case, this belongs in Q+A, which is where I am moving it to.

Oh dear. Deja vu. This happened a short time ago too, and it didn’t have the desired result. If you went to all the trouble of uploading an avatar then it was hardly an accident. You sound like a nice guy/gal/kid, I suggest simply logging out and not ever logging back in. Good luck.

I may be being dumb, but why do people regularly ask for their accounts to be deleted? Is it because they’re downloading a lot of stuff and then getting worried that they’ll leave a trail? I’m not saying this is the case with Death9125, but in the past, like the instance I quoted above, people get irate when you won’t delete it for them. Is there another reason I’m not thinking of? Are they just being big-hearted and don’t want the Shrine servers burdened with obsolete account information?

I find this weird too. I was thinking there was a vulnerability on the forum script, and they’d like to take advantage of it to attack the forum. Yep, paranoia delirium I guess.

Huh. I wouldn’t have thought of that.

It’s not paranoia, it’s just that I was trying to download castlevania music, but I couldn’t get the links unless I registered. I opened the account, but eventually found out that the links were elsewhere. When I found them, I wanted to delete this account, but now I find out that I can’t. Um…I won’t be logging on anymore, so even though I am happy that you guys are replying, I am going to request that you do not reply to this thread anymore as I will not be replying anymore at this point.
Just because you won’t be replying anymore doesn’t mean it’s going to stop others from posting.
Take me for example 😀

More inane idiocy…
:sigh:
As has been said above and in another thread in this section (eerily similar), if you don’t want to post here anymore, then don’t. Don’t log in etc etc.
How can something so simple, be so hard for some people (I use that term very loosely) to comprehend?
Very well…*After this never logging on again*. Thanks for the replies though.
The moron posts that and yet:

hmmmmmm….

It really does make me cringe how many threads there’s been like this, seriously.
"Waaa, someone delete my account! My first and only post is to ask for an account deletion, when I could just forget I ever created it, but no, my life’s at stake here! If my account’s not deleted, I’ll be deleted! Off the face of the earth! Ahhhhhhhh!!!! :O"
