Can someone please help me delete my account? Thanks

I may not be a mod, but I don’t think any mod/admin will contradict me if I tell you you’re losing your time. FFshrine doesn’t delete accounts. Some say it’s because we sold our soul to the shrine, others because Sarah and the other admins/mods lead a secret sect of techno-adepts, others think that FFshrine is evil and once you go to the Dark side, well, there’s no turning back.

If you don’t want to be here anymore…just…don’t come anymore. Change your password to something you will not remember, which equates to closing the door before throwing the key to the river and then quietly go away.

Call me paranoid, but I’d prefer not to leave open accounts on the internet, especially on a website on which I’d just read it’d been hacked. If I remember right, closing unused accounts is a basic tenet of data management…

the hacking isn’t really a danger. if only because your password and username should be different from the login and PW you use for your email, bank operation, paypal account and so on. I have dozens of subscriptions to forums, websites, etc. which means a little booklet next to my PC with dozens of different logins, passwords and so on.

That and different mailboxes, including two that are used only for less than serious stuff. Using a random password (a random ISBN number or something rare enough (book title, serial number of your latest HDD) for example) makes it rather hard to use your account without your consent.

Like Doc said, if you don’t want to visit this forum, simply stop coming.

You will never get your account deleted. In some forum implementations, routine account deletion even screws over the database.
