Death & Rebirth, End Of Eva = Same?

Well for the first time I finally watched the Neon Genesis Evangelion series in its full. and i have a few questions concerning what i need to watch next.

End of Evangelion or Death and Rebirth?

I know the "Death" is just like a clip show of the series. But is "Rebirth" the same as "End of Evangelion"? Or are they totally different?

Rebirth is the first half of the "real ending" and ends when Asuka is seeing the finished EVA series. End of evangelion is the whole 2 episodes of the "real ending" all put nicely together in a single movie.

Right but now that the movies are coming out you might want to disregard the ending you see in the end of evangelion. But you are supposed to watch death and rebirth first.

Death = Series Recap
Rebirth = "Do-over" of episode 25/ first half of End of Evangelion
Death and Rebirth = A waste of time and money

End of Evangelion = The movie
