The Marvel films are very special because they can stand as films as their own while also being a chapter in an even greater story. I worry that DC will try to force in connections and in doing so just completely overdo it all, to the point where one film might not make any sense without watching the previous one.

I’m not worried. I do’t worry before things happen as I think that’s a waste of time. Maybe what you suggest won’t happen and things will end up being more positive. However it doesn’t matter to me because I always watch in chronological order starting with the first movie first whether they’re connected or not.

Stephen Amell stated he rather continue portraying Arrow on the TV show than pursue an Arrow movie. His reason(s) why are valid enough for me. He defended Grant Gustin (don’t know if this had to do with him as The Flash on TV or not being cast in the movie), but also approved of Ezra being cast as The Flash in the movie. And yeah I think they’ll be internet comments and negative ones at that just like there was for Robert Downey Jr for Iron Man and Ben Affleck for Batman. The similarity here is that the internet criticized these castings before the actors portrayed them. Robert Jr proved the naysayers wrong. We’ll see if Affleck and Ezra do the same. Fact is people need to stop judging so early. Wait till you see the portrayal, then give an opinion.
As you said, Ezra’s a newcomer. But Affleck’s been acting and is a great actor. That said I won’t hold it against him if he doesn’t portray Batman/Bruce Wayne perfectly. That’s a tough thing to do. It’s one actor playing a dual role. Though they’re the same man, Wayne and Batman are different in more ways than one. That’s no doubt got to make it tough on the actors who are cast in this role. I still think Keaton’s the best live action Batman and don’t see that changing. Bale seemed like his Batman voice was "forced" as he seemed to be trying too hard to pull it off while for Keaton, it seemed to come more natural to him.
