I see the good old ‘Database Error’ has reared it’s ugly head once again
or am I the only person to have seen it over the past 4 or 5 days?

any feedback most welcome 🙂

Not the only one.

Also not too clear on why it happens, or as to what a database error is, but it should hopefully be nothing serious. I wouldn’t want to see a repeat of what recently happened,

It’s because we’re pirates.

The Copyright Gods punish those who sin.
They aim not for the sinner but the sin itself.

We sate their thirst with a little a few minutes here and there.

Time for us is multiplied by infinity.
A world without freedom for a few seconds is enough to sate the blood quenching thirst of those we drain.

It is a toll that we accept from the second we are born unto this unholy world.
And pay it in increments, we shall.

or it’s karma.

not everyone is nice on the internet so this is why can’t have illegal things.

Ah…glad we cleared that up then…for a minute there I thought I was part of the ‘minority’ 🙂

The forum is pretty slow and does time out every time, could you fix this issue, this happens since the clean up of the database has started.

It’s because of one reason only…we need a new fricken server.
Too much traffic will bog down any server though.

Before last week it’s was perfect.

I have gotten five db error messages in the last twenty minutes. http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/mad/mad0190.gif
At point I have given up doing any mod work tonight.

Also I am noticing a blurring effect in my post control panel.

The blur effect looks like when the page doesn’t load properly.
A reload should fix it.

Maybe it’s the db errors come from cleaning up the dusty place.

On other forums, mods usually turn off the forum while they do the massive cleaning.

I am afraid not, for me all pages seem to load but the little refresh arrow in FF just continues to spin.

If I was an admin that is exactly what I would do, in fact I did that twice when the Inferno Music Vault forum was still alive.

Yikes. You are deep in the forum. Like quicksand.

Maybe have a talk with Jessie and staff about a scheduled shut down for a couple hours to put some of the zombie threads down for good.

Would’nt Be A Bad Idea, Would Make Easier and Quicker to Work.

I agree, it’s better to shutdown the forum during the cleaning instead of doing it in live.

After a good and deep cleaning, it will be perfect.

Deep? The forum would need to be down for days. It’s still for the best though.
