Dark Cloud 2 / Dark Chronicle Soundtrack Gamerip

I used to play a game called Dark Cloud 2 (North America, Dark Chronicle in Europe) a couple years back for the PS2 and a lot of the music is very reminiscent and it actually has a pretty good soundtrack. I got the official/original soundtrack released for it, but it’s obvious that the music in the official soundtrack differed from some of the ones in the game.

This is incredibly evident at times, and it’s the case with a lot of the tracks in the soundtrack. As an example, listen to the two and note the obvious difference

So what I’m asking is, can anybody do a gamerip of the music? I’m not sure how difficult it is to rip files from a PS2 game, but I was wondering if it was possible at all. I really adore the soundtrack in this game and the fact that the Official soundtrack is incredibly different is really just off putting to me and just not what I wanted. Really, it would be greatly appreciated if anyone could just even tell me it isn’t possible. I just really adore the game versions as opposed to the OST versions.

I’ve gotten the game files of the music and have since converted them to mp3. I uploaded them onto my YT channel and will finish uping the second half sometime soon. I’ll create a new thread in the VG releases sub forum with a DL. This has been a fun journey.
