A/N:A side-project for me, basically just something to take my mind off the novel I’m writing and to pour some real emotion into. This is a work in progress, so not everything is all polished up. The characters are all anime inspired, the main character looks quite like Spike from Cowboy Bebop, for some reason, he just is a pretty similar character…

Chapter One: The Pain

No one can help me, no one knows the pain that rides through my blood. I sat quietly on my windowsill, the storm outside rumbling in my head, the soft tap of rain on the glass. There was a knock on my door, I stumbled up slowly, I looked like crap; my shirt’s collar was up and my long thick black hair ruffled. I walked groggily across my room towards the door and turned the golden handle.

"Mum…" I spoke softly as I saw my mum was the visitor.

"Oh no Jack, I’m not you visitor, Charli’s here!" My mother smiled, I didn’t want Charli here, not after the fight we’d just had.

Charli emerged in front of me and my mother left. She was beautiful, long, silky brown hair travelling down her neck and bright eyes shining before me.

"Jack… Can we go outside?" She smiled, a deadly smile, an entrapment.

"Uh… there’s a storm outside Charli…" I scratched my head.

"I brought an umbrella!"

I agreed, I shouldn’t have, but I did. We walked downstairs and out the front door into my garden. The rain was flooding the gutters and creating huge puddles in the ground. We walked, Charli decided to give me a complete story of our relationship. I was completely out of it, the rain made me go this way, it was beautiful. Charli came to an abrupt halt, I almost kept walking but she pulled me back.

"I’m… sorry Jack… It’s over…" Charli whispered into my ear as tears ran down her face. She took off in a sprint, taking the umbrella with her.

It took awhile for it to sink in, I stood there, in the rain, tears dripping down my face… Alone…

That story is slightly depressing but it makes for a great read Kaspar. Are you going to add more to the story? ^_^
