Crispin Merrell is a composer whose work has been associated with the latter day productions by the late Gerry Anderson, including New Captain Scarlet, Space Precinct and Lavender Castle. To the best of my knowledge there are no official releases of Merrell’s work, though a New Captain Scarlet score was mooted, but as that series tanked due to lousy programming, it never saw the light of day. So for your listening pleasure here are a few examples of Crispin Merrell’s work which shows, to my ears anyway, the influence of John Barry, Jerry Goldsmith, Ron Goodwin, Alan Silvestri and a bit of Danny Elfman to name but a few.
