I’m wanting to draw a manga comic style story board (not very detailed, just a comic outlining the plot of a five minute video) for my media coursework, but I havn’t the first clue on how to draw manga. Does anyone know any sites, books or even videos (that I’ll be able to get to the UK) on "manga drawing for begginers"… Or somthing along those lines ^^; ?

Your greatest weapons are always your creativity and your talent, and being stubborn can’t be wrong either.

I do not know of any books explaining how to do anime storyboards, but there are lots explaining How to Draw Manga…
the real comics, I mean.
Can you already draw manga characters, or are you an absolute beginner?

You might want to search on amazon.co.uk i found some how to draw manga stuff there, where in the UK? if you’re anywhere near glasgow try in forbidden planet or Borders bookstore, i got some from there.

I need to do a storyboard for a video for Uni for next week…

Odd…I’m from the UK (I do media too XD) and there are these books that are based on such things.

I believe it would be the ‘How To Draw Manga’ series?

Ask at your local import shops such as ‘Another World’ and ‘Gamestation’. I find one everytime I walk in, trust me. Even if they don’t have any copies they will order them for you.
Oh and if all else fails you may try ebay or amazon. ^^;

Good luck on your search. 🙂

There are loads of books in that series, though… But I guess you’d only need the first one if you just want it as a once-off or whatever… I saw them in Forbidden Planet, too….

I hope this helps you, and good luck!
