Does anyone else find the counter ability that bosses have in Final Fantasy IV for the DS the hardest thing to get passed ever? I mean, with the bosses up to Barbarrica it is possible to get around them without it being annoying, but when you reach her, the ONLY way she doesn’t injure my party to death with one counter is if I use jump. And that only if she is surrounded by a tornado.
So, anyone else have similar problems?
It took me four attempts until I gave up and just spent FOREVER only attacking her with jump when she was tornado clad.

Not really… Yes, the counter thing is annoying, but pretty much all counters (bar the ones that can be avoided or prevented) aren’t that powerful if you have Cecil and Rosa (or equivalent) ready to heal straight after.

Yes, that is true, which is why I cited the whole Barbarrica specific thing. However, even though they aren’t all unavoidable, it sucks finding out how to trigger them when you do it accidentally.

the counters are a bitch. But Slavka is right, have cecil or rosa ready to heal right after, i usually just level up a couple extra levels for the bosses come along.

She’s a difficult boss in general. Magic attacks will evade physical counters though
