I’ve recently been getting an addiction to this beautiful little game, and began to wonder whether any of us here at the shrine are playing it.

If so, I was thinking that it might fun to arrange a few games & then, possible, go into the steps of making a ‘Shrine clan’.

But, I’ll warn you before hand, due to not having much counter-strike experience my skills don’t really match. I am however playing the game almost every night. So, who knows… I could get better?…

[sorry if a simular topic has been made in the past]

CS was good back in the day, but for my Source-powered gaming goodness, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch beats it 🙁

I can’t play Half-Life 2 right now and it angers me greatly. My CD drive won’t read the disk. It’s a Lite-On CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive if any has any suggestions what so ever.

Aww… in that case I think it might be best to leave the idea for a bit.

Oh, & I can’t play hl2 either. I always get the error ‘run out of memory’ [or something like that].

So that’s really the main reason I’ve been giving Source a good go. Well, that & the fact that it’s such a fun game to play…

Hogan, I suggest checking to see if you can download it over steam. There’s a good chance you can do that as long as you have your cd key, though I have no idea how to go about it.

Any particular reason you say that?

I haven’t played Source all that much as of yet as HL2 has been getting the majority of my attention. From what i have played of it so far though, I can say I am very impressed. The graphics are simply amazing. The gameplay seems so much smoother and much more realistic. I have, however, found it rather easy compared to 1.6

Yeah I couldn’t download it but I just bought a DVD burner so it all worked out. I really love all of the source powered games. Counter Strike is much more enjoyable in its source form imo.

I’ve been playing original CS for several years now. CS: Source was a bit of a mistake, however I did get a bit of a grasp onto it, plus HL2 is an amazing game. All I need is a better graphics card, my performance on the new Source engine is very bad.
