Of course not, Varese’s lawyers are still looking out for Varese’s interests. VARESE material was banned, not necessarily Cutting Edge.

nothing will change, except the assholes that came here to bitch, will return to bitch about concord shit.
like this is the only site on the internet where we can obtain their shit. fucking dumbasses. but i do have to give them credit for finding a relatively obscure site like this.
unless someone here tipped them off. if so, whoever you are, you are the reason we cant have nice things, traitorous asshole

The only change I’d bet on seeing would be an expansion of the current ban to include Concord and Cutting Edge material. I certainly expect the Varese restrictions to remain in place.

Nothing will change, no. It’s a corporal buyout. It’s a purchase merely done to make sure Varese lasts for more years, and has more catalogue and help getting music through and stuff, etc. It’s like the Fox purchase by Disney. And as much as many here would like it, no, it doesn’t mean an stop to the Varese ban as they operate just the same.

Still nonetheless I find this purchase really hilarious, was it needed? I thought they were good. They have a massive catalogue, they have the name. I guess the fact that most of the companies release scores on their own now, or go to Sony Classical or any other label, has taken a hit on them. Also the fact that LLL and Intrada, complete INDEPEDENT labels with much more work and less money, have been releasing everything everyone wanted. Of course they’d have to be bought. In a way, companies more willing to work with the other two than Varese has a lot to say.
