Okay, so as those who have played through FFX-2 know, starting in Chapter 3, players are introduced to a device invented by Al Bhed whiz-kid Shinra known as the "CommSphere." Spheres are used throughout the world of Spira as means for making video recordings, but Shinra has found a way to use the spheres as a communication device — both portable and fixed. In Chapter 3, he sets up a CommSphere in each area of Spira that you visit in that Chapter and a few bonus locations as well.

So what did everyone think of the CommSpheres? Personally, I found them to be an interesting break from the normal gameplay. Some of the stuff with the CommSpheres is really quite fun, such as setting up the Mi’ihen investigation and some of it’s just plain amusing, such as some of the antics with Wakka. The CommSpheres also give you an opportunity to see some of the characters in situations you normally wouldn’t, such as Dona sleeptalking. And it really reveals a lot of interesting background on Leblanc and her Syndicate. And chocoporting is just plain fun.

Problems with CommSpheres:

For those who are trying to get 100% in one game (something I don’t recommend), it’s so easy to miss something.
The CommSpheres can be rather glitchy at times.
Sometimes it can be very hard to tell when you’ve viewed a complete scene on a CommSphere.

I’m with you on all points, it’s quite a refreshing and sometimes comical change from just running around xyz to do xyz. But yes, it does have faults, it can be very annoying trying to figure out whether or not you’ve missed something, and there is no real way to know for sure, so it’s kinda hit-and-miss.

It’s like the TV show Big Brother. In other words, rubbish.;-)

I know some people who liked them though. I think you either love them or you hate them. Sadly, I wasn’t a big fan of them, and hated that you couldn’t get off the airship in Chapter 4!

Well, I find the CommSphere really interesting, but it was sort of became boring at some point, with all the scenes you have to wait for and watch so you can get 100%, but it was good. And I agree with all the points that Agent0042 said. Although it really didn’t make any glitches to me. And also, sometimes, the CommSphere can be slow.

com2sphere is remember of some cutscene in game and you can
find many part of story in game and the only way of continue it
after many quest you need save your story percent either but
with combine and collect of them you can begin side quest or
new game story for your own i never try it more but that was good

I found it boring but also a well-deserved break from all the running around 🙂

I enjoyed the CommSpheres very much; I must admit. Wakka was a good laugh, but I particularly liked when the edgy guard loses his temper as a result of your peeping….

It was kind of an interesting diversion. But a diversion from what I wonder…
The rest of the game is running around doing useless junk too so…

other than the unbelievable boredom in trying to get all the commsphere scenes necessary for 100%, I suppose it was an alright idea.

I thought they were a decent concept but fairly poorly implemented. If they had been brought in earlier and had the scenes been more evenly distributed throughout the game they might have been somewhat more entertaining. I also found the high-ish number of percentage points caught up in them rather annoying. Not only were most (or is it all?) of the scenes miss-able but many of the scenes won’t register percentage points if you don’t sit through them in their entirety.

But yeah, they added some degree of amusement to an otherwise tedious chapter.
