I apologize if I’m just repeating a false rumor, but I remember hearing somewhere that sometimes, when you start a new game in FFA and a character from the game runs across the screen, the character will be Cloud or Squall. (Cloud appears in FFV and Squall is in FFVI). Is this true? If so, has anyone ever seen it?

Yeah, it is true. I’ve seen Squall appear on several occasions now, but as I’ve only played a little of FFV, I don’t know if Cloud does though. Inccedently, I’ve also seen the Onion Knight from FFIIIj also appear on that screen! It took me a while to recognise who it was, but when I realised, I laughed! I just wonder how many other people got the joke.

No, he only appears in FFVI, and only on the load game screen. He doesn’t appear in the ‘in-game save screen’.

I saw Squall!!! 🙂 He’s cute as a 16-bit two-dimensional character. I thought he was one of the Returners at first.
Still haven’t seen Cloud.

Cloud does not appear in FF5. I’m near the end, so I would know..
As for squall, he does appear in FF6. He can appear on that menu where you can choose a new game, saved game, or bonus.
